Videogames, the 8th art?
Today, exist a generation have grown up in a age that exist a developed industry of videogames, this created a daily life that consoles are integrated in, in fact, 42% of US people play at least 3 hours per week. Though, videogames also represent something irrelevant and even harmful, especially for people that not belong to this generation, and i think that it is the mainstream opinion.
We live in a society where people dedicated their lifes to work and study, and all the activities that escape of this area are slandered, the ocio isn't valorate because is not productive or is for lazy, but at the same time we all want time for us, and may be for these reason the industry of videogames sell a lot of money.
Behind each game, there is many profesionals that design the graphics of the games, write the screenplay of the history, make the voices of the characters and the most important, have the challenge to make the game fun for players. In contrast with movies, videogames invite you to create and participate in a history, with graphics each day more realistics, and funnier playability, also offer you a huge variety of worlds that you can experience, like sports, apocaliptycs ages, wars, adventures, fantasy worlds, etc.
Thanks to videogames, we can escape for a while from this stressful reality, also like art, like movies, like books. Some day videogames will be considered the 8th art.
